The Civic Youth Ensembles provides an opportunity for young musicians to enhance their music education experience. The program combines very high level instruction with professional level performances. Supported and managed by the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, The Civic Youth Ensembles program is considered one of the nations leading youth orchestral and jazz programs.

The Civic Youth Ensembles program is highly selective and requires each student to participate in an audition prior to selection for one of the ensembles.
